Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
Proof ("the app," "we," "us") is a personal belief-tracking tool that keeps your data on your device. This policy explains what information we collect, how it's used, and your choices around it. Proof is a self-directed personal-development app. It is not therapy, medical treatment, or a substitute for professional mental health care.
Information We Collect
We don't collect your content. Proof has no accounts and no sign-in. The beliefs you choose to track and the "wins" you log as evidence are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us or to any server we operate.
iCloud sync. If you're signed in to iCloud, Proof keeps your devices in sync through your own private iCloud database. That copy is stored by Apple under your Apple Account and is not accessible to us. Turn it off in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud.
Notifications. Reminders and resurfaced-evidence notifications are scheduled on your device by iOS. No push token or notification data is sent to us.
Purchases. Proof is free to download, with an optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited proof and more beliefs. Apple handles the payment; we never receive or store your payment details. To confirm the unlock, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives a random anonymous identifier generated on your device and the record of your App Store purchase. It never receives your beliefs, your logged evidence, your name or your email address.
We do not currently collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or usage-tracking data of any kind.
How Your Information Is Used
Your beliefs and logged evidence are used only on your device, to display them and to include past evidence in the notifications you've turned on.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
Who We Share Data With
Nobody receives your content. It stays on your device. Apple processes App Store purchases under its own privacy policy, and RevenueCat (our purchase-verification provider) processes the anonymous purchase record described above under its own privacy policy.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete everything at any time from within the app: Settings → Delete all data. This permanently removes all beliefs, wins, and reminder settings from the device and from your iCloud copy. It cannot be undone. Deleting the app removes the copy on that device; the iCloud copy stays until you use Delete all data or remove it in iOS Settings → iCloud.
Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on request.
Children's Privacy
Proof is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date.
